There are a few things that need to happen to make it feel like it's really Christmas. One of those is baking day. This is one day during the holidays that all of my sisters get together and bake all kinds of goodies. We have a list of things that are a must make-peanut butter balls, Martha Washington balls, candy cane cookies, fudge, Christmas Crunch, peanut butter cup tarts, and sand tarts. Over the last couple of years we have added to the list Callie's cookies were added 3 years ago, two years ago we added oreo balls, and last year we added peanut brittle and ginger bread cookies. This year we added pecan tarts. Everything is super yummy-and the day is filled with lots of fun sister & mom time. This year all the boys came over too-I think they thought we needed taste testers. Here are a few pictures of our fun-I hope everyone has fun family traditions like these. Since the Robert Colwell family is just now almost 3 years old-our traditions are still forming. We are trying new things out each year and trying to figure out what works for our family. Let me know what your family traditions are. You'll see more of ours in the coming days.

oreo balls--these are SUPER easy! Take a package of
Oreos and crush them in a food processor and mix with a pkg of cream cheese. Roll into balls and then dip into almond bark-we sprinkle them with red sprinkles to make them look pretty.

This year Tara surprised (I use this word lightly because Tara can't keep a secret and several of us knew about these) us with aprons-they each had our name on them with a cute little saying about baking. They were very cute!! Thank you Tara I LOVE mine!!
Cade excited because he just scored playing air hockey
My mom let the boys open an early Christmas present-Zach is claiming his. He got a camo 4 wheeler-which might already need the batteries replaced since he hasn't gotten off of it since he opened it.
Cade got a Tech football helmet (to replace the
huggies box he's been using) shoulder pads and a uniform
Reid (with the help of Cade) opened up a front loader ride on toy. 
Cade & Zach thought they needed a snack so they took the nila wafers into the other room to hide
we ended up getting them each a bowl of them and let them sit and watch Finding Nemo
Then they thought they needed to help Pa wash his new car. Cade was trying to show Zach what to do
Zach thought he would just stand around and supervise
