Pikes Peak

On Tuesday we headed out to Pikes Peak. I hadn't been there since I was little and my kids hadn't ever been there so this was another first for us. The top of the mountain was very overcast and was drizzling a little too. They warned us at the bottom that they might have to close the road and we wouldn't be able to make it all the way to the top, but we decided to head up anyways. We did make it to the top where there is a gift shop and donuts, but we couldn't see 10 feet in front of us-so we didn't get to see the beautiful view.

Everyone enjoying their donuts and hot chocolate-did I say it was a little cold on the top? But the hot chocolate and donuts were worth the drive :)

Katie loved her donut-she kept on saying YUMM!
