Countdown until Daddy comes home!

Bobby has to take a 5 week training class in The Netherlands which means I'm home alone during that time. My biggest concern was Zach-he's a Daddy's boy and looks forward to playing and hanging out with Bobby. I figured Madison is old enough she remembers him being gone and it wouldn't be unfamiliar to her. A friend of mine made a countdown calendar when her husband was doing his reserve duty to help her kids understand how long he would be gone so I copies her idea. Each ring equals a day-I wrote the date on each ring with what I knew was going on that day. Meet the teacher, first day of school, church, etc. Each night at dinner Zach and Madison take turns tearing the ring off and reading what is going on the next day. So far it has helped a lot! Well that and Skype. Katie-is actually having a harder time than I ever expected. She looks forward to Bobby coming home each day so anytime she hears the front door open she gets all excited and says Daddy-thinking he'll be turning the corner any moment. Please pray that the rest of his time away will pass quickly!
