Time Flies!

You would think that it has been longer than two weeks since I posted with all the craziness that has gone on around here! So here it goes--let's catch up again...

Tessa came in town weekend before last to go to a friends wedding. Her trip was super short-so short that I don't even think we took any pictures. Shocking I know!

The following Monday evening and Tuesday morning it rained 9 inches at our house!! Everything was flooded-thankfully our house was high and dry. The roads to get here not so much... here are a few pictures of the rain in my neighborhood-none that compare the what Rayford looked like!

Madison took the TAKS math test last Tuesday as well. It was a busy little day for us. I know she did great-she set a very high bar for herself by getting a 100 on the reading part. The school had a party on Friday afternoon to celebrate that the 3rd and 4th graders were done with the TAKS. It was a water fun day and the kids had a blast!! I know Madison was worn out that afternoon!
Saturday I got a new washer & dryer. Bobby & I decided on the LG and my laundry has been caught up ever since I got it!! I love them!!
Zach-well just being Zach. Yes that is a diaper on his head-and thankfully it's a clean one! (those are TJ's legs in the background-he had his tendon cut and he was in a cast for 3 weeks and finally got them off last Thursday)

Sunday was Tara's birthday so we headed over to my parents after church to celebrate! What a yummy lunch! My mom has tried lots of new recipes on us and this one was definitely a keeper!
Monday started our true craziness. Madison is on the Cubs part of the swim team-which means she isn't quite ready for swim meets, but with a little coaching she might be before the season is over. So Monday they had team pictures and Tuesday we started practice. They ended up having to cancel Tuesday's practice-which was nice because Bobby didn't get home until 9 that night and I didn't want to have to fight Zach at the pool knowing Madison was getting in and he wasn't. Madison did great tonight! The have realized what errors she is making and are working hard at correcting them. But for now I'm just fine with not having to be at the pool at 7 am every Saturday for swim meets!!

While Madison practiced Zach & Bobby headed over to the playground to play. Zach is a little daredevil! He had no problem climbing up to the tallest slide and going down all on his own. He also is very strong for his age--he was handing on the monkey bars & the parallel bars for much longer than I could!
Today for Mother's day we headed to my parents' house after church. My dad grilled hamburgers & hot dogs and after lunch we got in the pool. Madison & Zach had a blast and both crashed and burned on the way home!
Madison showing off her new swim suit she got from the Easter Bunny
we tried the life jacket on Zach at first and he wanted nothing to do with it-so we ended up using floaties and he did great. Bobby didn't even have to hold him he wold kick and stay up all on his own

Zach has no fear!! Here he is jumping off the diving board.

and jumping off the side of the pool

after swimming Mimi brought out the Popsicles and all the kids enjoyed a yummy snack while the adults had Razzleberry pie and Blue Bell vanilla ice cream--YUMMY!

Hopefully my next post will be a little sooner. We have another crazy week ahead of us and I know there will be many pictures taken!
