Lucky 13

Today Zach turned 13 months old-and this is what he looked like when he woke up. We've been dealing with an allergic reaction to Penicillin-one that has left my sweet boy with hives all over him, swollen eyes & cheeks, and lips that are so big he can't suck on a pacifier much less drink his milk out of his sippy cup. After a dose of benadryl and a quick trip to the Dr's office-he's MUCH better. Most of the swelling has gone down, and we just have a few hives left. Besides his new drug allergy-Zach has started talking a lot more-he tries his hardest to communicate to us what he wants and mimics the sounds we make. He points in the direction of what he wants and we start guessing. He gets all excited when we figure out what he's trying to say. He's also started walking a lot more, and is enjoying having a play room that he can destroy. He LOVES playing with Madison and Madison's stuff-we've learned that we need to close Madison's door when she leaves for school each day. He also is understanding more that when Bobby leaves-he's gone for a while-he cried for the first time when he left this last trip, but was very excited (well as excited you could be all doped up on Benedryl) when we picked Bobby up from the airport. He looked out the window for him on the way there. It was neat to see that he actually understood what I was saying-now if we could just get him to not mess with things when I tell him no. Maybe next month! We look forward to watching out little boy grow. Happy Mirthday Zachie.

We've been crazy busy and haven't taken his picture with crush--I was planning on doing it tonight, but we took a quick trip to Lowe's and he fell asleep on the way home. He was so out of it I actually changed his diaper and put his pajamas on him and he never woke up--Maybe tomorrow we'll get a picture.
