Drive In

We have a drive in movie in Hockley, which is not all that far from the house. So Friday night Bobby suggested we go to Mel's Diner for dinner and then on to the drive in. If you haven't been to Mel's your missing out! They have the best food! Amazing Chicken Fried Steak, which is our favorite meal and HUGE burgers. They are known for their Mega Mel burger which I believe is five 1/2 lb. patties, a ton of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, etc. This was our third visit to Mel's and the first time we were actually there when someone ordered it. He was about 6'4" and about 250 lbs. Needless to say when we left he only had the lettuce and tomatoes left.

From there we headed to the drive in to see Nanny McPhee Returns (which was super cute) and The Other Guys (which wasn't bad). If your looking for a fun kid friendly place to watch a movie this is it! The prices are great, and the concessions are good and cheap!!
