What a weekend!

Last Thursday Sheri (Nana) came in for Madison's birthday and to spend a weekend with us. We had a TON of things planned, and as usual her trip was too short. Thursday we had lunch with Madison, and then headed to Lupe Tortillas for an adult lunch before heading to pick Zach up from school. Thursday evening Madison had dinner with her dad and we hung around the house, and planned out our day for Friday. Sheri wanted to do her Christmas shopping for the kids while she was here, and pick up Madison's birthday present. So we got up, put Madison on the bus, and headed out. Friday night we had some of the family over for a birthday dinner for Madison. Madison got a lot of fun things, but most of all got to spend some fun time with family. Thank you to all of those that showed up and showered my baby on her birthday. Saturday Madison had her birthday party at the skating rink. It was pretty much a mirror image of her party last year-Hannah Montana skating party, but that is what she wanted. Actually she wanted a Jonas Bros. party, but they didn't have any Jonas Bros party stuff--I'm sure it won't be long until it's out! Saturday night Madison had a birthday party to go to, and Bobby, Zach & I had dinner with the Colwell family that came in town. Sunday we went to church, and then headed out shopping again. Monday, Madison was out of school for Columbus day so we headed to the pumpkin patch, and even though it was 85 degrees and humid-I made the kids put on their Halloween shirts that Nana bought in hopes to get a great fall picture of the 2 of them in the pumpkins. Well, Zach had other plans -he wasn't even interested in picking out a pumpkin. Madison was, of course, wonderful and photogenic and trying everything to help us get a picture. Maybe next time. Tuesday was Sheri's last day, and since Madison was back in school we decided to spend the day shopping. Sheri finished Christmas shopping for us, and I even got in the spirit and am close to being done for both kids, and Cade & Reid. For those that know me well--I LOVE Christmas. Bobby and I have had this conversation since we've known each other. Thanksgiving is his holiday and Christmas is mine. I love being around family-I love the traditions we've had since I was a little girl, and am loving making new traditions with my family. I'm looking so forward to this year-we are blessed with a wonderful family and will get to spend lots of fun family time with both of our families this year! We're actually starting this weekend--yes, I know it's only October, but Tessa & Taleigh are both coming in town this weekend-so since the 3 of us won't be in town for Thanksgiving we're having a Thanksgiving lunch and watching the Tech vs A&M game. Now all we need is for the weather to cooperate!

Madison showing off the super cute sign that Tara made--yes from scratch. If you want one-let her know. She's considering making these. I'm so glad I have sisters that are crafty & creative!

Madison's new pajamas--ohh laa laa!

Nana got Madison a pumpkin apron, a cook book and some tools for her to use. She also got us some cookie presses for Halloween--I can't wait to make these with her!

Madison got lots of money and gift cards-which I think she is going to try and hold on to until after Christmas to spend it.

Her Yummy, Yummy cake from RJ Goodies

Skating-with inline skates. This might be one of the things Madison gets with her money. She had regular skates from a couple of years ago, but she wasn't very good at skating with them-and she outgrew them.

Sadly, they didn't have skates in Zach's size so he stood in one of the benches and yelled for Madison and the rest of the kids every time they skated by.

Brianna, Madison & Taylor--they tell everyone that they are sisters. Oh-how Madison missed these girls.

Madison got to spin the birthday wheel and won 3 free skate passes to come back and skate

Her birthday cake for her skating party--YUMMY!!

Opening presents-this was a High School Musical game from Kyle & Kevin

A craft project for her to paint magnets.

A pink poodle webkinz from Erica

The pumpkin Patch--This was on the hayride

Reid loved the hayride

Zach playing in the treehouse

Bobby helping Cade, Zach and Madison fish

This was how most of the pictures looked from the day. Sheri sent me a picture she took on her camera that was good, but for some reason I can't get it to save and load on here.

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!

So glad the party went well. You are right, in a couple of months, you will see Jonas Brother's stuff everywhere. It ALWAYS happens that way. :) Hope you are getting settled in the new house. Have a great weekend!!!
