The hat

Saturday we headed over to REI to get Bobby his long overdue new pair of tennis shoes. While Bobby was checking out shoes I decided to check out the little kids ski/winter stuff. As I looked around I realized that Madison is pretty much set with everything REI has to offer her, but Zach was only 5 months old when we were in the cold weather last (well excluding our June trip to Yellowstone where it snowed on us unexpectedly). So he didn't have a hat, gloves, etc. I found the cutest little Navy & royal blue hat that has a few little penguins on it that I just knew Zach wouldn't keep on his head, but I tried anyway--and to my amazement Zach kept it on throughout the whole store. He first walked over to Bobby for him to check it out and once he had Bobby & Madison's approval he then walked up to everyone in the store-which was mainly the employees and looked at them and smiled until they made a comment on how cute he looked in his hat and then he would seek out another person for approval. It cracked me up! He walked around clapping his hands in front of him like he was just too cool for words. We left the store and headed home and Zach wore his hat around for a little while, but didn't let me get a good picture--so this is the best I could do. I'll try again to take a picture so you too can tell him how cute he looks!
